Should a Freelancer be a Blogger too?

Hi everyone I just posted this article on my blog. I know most of us have their own blogs too but i just want to share how blog can really help a freelancer. On a personal experience, I got 3 jobs through my blog. You can read the post here entitled Practical benefits of Blog to a freelancer

Most of my jobs when I was a newbie in oDesk were approved because of the blog content that I came up with during my college days. A current buyer actually gave me tips on blogging and how it would generate success as well as build reputation.

There is no harm in creating your own blog. The more blogs you create with a variety of topics, you will have the power to increase your rate if need be. The blogs will show proof of your abilities and capabilities as a writer, so they won't hesitate on agreeing with your rate... that is, unless your buyers are just starting a business in internet marketing.
